Simon’s luck takes a turn for the worse one night, when he finds himself stuck at a RailRoad crossing in a desolate area with a looming rainstorm. Things look up as Rita, an old flame pulls up behind him… but when she suddenly disappears – leaving only screams and a trail of blood, Simon is determined to find out who – or what is responsible.
This short is an homage to the “B” Movies that populated late night basic cable and independent local TV channels of the 80s. In this case presented specifically to evoke the feeling of watching a VHS recording of a forgotten midnight movie. A love letter to a bygone era of lo-fi scares, optical effects and bad tracking.
